Wideload 290BSC is what many of you have been waiting for!

A genuinely extra wide safety shoe with a composite, metal-free toe cap. Perfect for anyone who works in a security setting or needs a lighter safety boot. Tested to EN ISO 20345:2011 S1, SRC, HRO, FO

The new 290BSC airport-friendly composite cap is 10% (150 grams) lighter than its steel cap counterpart. The composite toecap provides less transmission of hot and cold while achieving “steel-like” safety for impact and compression. The cap meets ISO safety standards without compromising comfort.

Wide Load boots are designed and manufactured with a wide profile steel/composite cap designed specifically to meet the needs of those with wide feet. It is 12-15mm wider and 5mm higher than the industry ‘standard’, thus facilitating the fitting of custom-made orthotics and, more importantly, challenging feet.

The anatomically designed forefoot provides an additional 15% “footprint” compared to the industry standard. This additional surface area, combined with the self-cleaning cleat design outsole, provides maximum stability and enhanced slip resistance.

Walking can increase ground forces by up to 3 times body weight. The Wide Load bevelled heel strike and heel cushion zone help reduce shock and lessen the effects of these forces on the body.

  • This model is a 6E width fitting.

A 6E fitting is an extra wide fitting, and one of our widest.

Not only does this fitting offer plenty of width, it also has extra depth and is recommended for those with serious foot conditions such as large bunions, gout and very swollen feet.

Extra Wide Fitting 6E Width With Deeper Toe Box

This width is much wider than anything you can find on the high street and is only available from specialist wide fitting shops and websites.

If you have oedema or swelling, and the conditions varies through the day, then we would try a 6V fitting instead of a 6E. A 6V fitting offers more flexibility in the fitting and can be adjusted to cope with fluctuations in your condition.
