Made by DB Shoes, a highly regarded manufacturer of wide fitting shoes, who specialise in designing high-quality, comfortable footwear for the wider foot and those with a range of foot conditions

Odessa is the perfect extra wide fitting boot for those who enjoy long walks or exploring local areas and but still want a stylish look.

The leather uppers are water repellant and the boot benefits from a  'bellow' style tongue to stop water and mud from entering the boot.

The heel area is padded to reduce abrasion and irritation when walking and the boot has high-grade insoles.

This model is an extra wide fit. The 6V fitting gives lots of width and extra depth, and would suit those with foot conditions such as gout, swelling and bunions. The insoles can be removed to increase the fitting to an 8E or for you to replace with your own orthotics if needed.

Odessa has a supportive and lightweight outsole that offers plenty of shock absorption and cushioning.

Odessa has all the features you would expect of a high end walking boot but with the extra width, you need to walk in comfort without the boot pinching at the toe. The fitting would suit gentlemen with naturally wider feet or those with moderate foot conditions which require extra room or support and cushioning.

6V Variable Width Fitting Shoes - Adjustable Depth For Swollen Feet

A  6V fitting is an extra-wide fitting, and one of our widest. This fitting offers lots of width and extra depth in the toe area.

A 6V fitting means the fit can be adjusted to increase the depth of the shoe, increasing it from a 6E to an 8E fitting.

Additional depth in a shoe is important for conditions such as hammertoes, bunions, gout and swelling as it stops toes rubbing against the top of the shoe which can cause irritation and discomfort.

A variable fit is recommended for those who may need to adjust the fit over the day or are recovering from a procedure where the foot is swollen as the fit can be reduced as the swelling recedes.

These width fittings are not available on the high street, even at well known wide fitting shops.
